A DOUBLE ROUND TO CLOSE THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON: BARCELONA AND MUGELLO
A great desire for redemption for Matteo Ferrari: after a complicated start of the season, the rider #11, who has the second most victories in MotoE overall, wants to win again. One step at a time: in Barcelona, a circuit that has often been challenging for him, he wants to find his rhythm and speed again and then make the difference in Mugello, his home track, where last year he achieved a double podium.
After the consistent performance in Le Mans, Alessio Finello wants to make the TOP10 a constant, as he has found the right mentality to be competitive from the very first practice session. He will use the weekend in Barcelona to perfect his strategy and race pace, and then aim for something more at Mugello, where the support of the home crowd will make the difference.
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“We’re ready for this double round: Barcelona is a very beautiful track where, however, I’ve always struggled a bit. Last year we managed to find a good base and fight for the podium: so I’m confident. We already know where we have to work, but this year, compared to 2023, we had a tougher start. However, we are finding the right path: there will be some changes from this race, so we are super motivated. We have to stay focused, there are still many races left and the goal is to grow in Barcelona, try to get back fighting at least for the podium and be ready for Mugello, where I want to win again.”
ALESSIO FINELO #72
“We’re already back on track, we’re finally getting into the rhythm! This time two consecutive rounds, Barcelona and Mugello: after the consistent weekend at Le Mans, the top 10 has become our minimum objective, although I would like to start going even further. We have shown that we are fast, now we have to confirm it. We still have to work on the race: it will be essential to start convinced from the very first session: it will be a tough weekend but we will work hard to stay in the place we deserve, at least the top10. I like Barcelona and Mugello both very much: it will be tough because we will all be very close, but we will do our best!”
