A GOOD COMEBACK IN RACE ONE, A MORE DIFFICULT RACE TWO

Matteo Ferrari had an unfortunate start to race one from thirteenth place on the grid: he did start well and managed to recovered some positions straight away, but to avoid a crash ahead of him at turn one he was forced to go wide and re-joined last. From there on, his comeback began and with a good pace – a consistent and strong one – which allows him to make all the way back to sixth at the finish line. The Rimini-born rider struggled a bit more in race two, but still managed to recover some positions and bring home a ninth place.

Target achieved by Alessio Finello in Race1: the Turin-born rider was aiming at the top ten and from fourteenth place on the grid, he managed to bounce back and finish ninth. Not a bad pace in Race two, which he ended in eleventh position.

MATTEO FERRARI #11 (6th RACE1 – 9th RACE2)

“I’m happy with race one: unfortunately there was a coming together and that made me drop to last, but we were still able to bounce back as we took our best result and lapped as strong as the leaders. We found a good base set up and that gave me confidence for race two, where I had a good start and had a good opening lap. I managed to bridge the gap to the frontrunners but I didn’t have a good feeling with the front-end and couldn’t make any pass.”

ALESSIO FINELLO #72 (9th RACE1 – 11th RACE2)

“Today we made a good step forward and found the solution on yesterday’s problem already in race one, then in race two we made another step. I managed to be strong and consistent: now I need to improve my start and the first turn. I’m happy as these were two good comeback races: I’d like to thank the team for this, because during difficult times we managed to recover and find the solution.”
