BACK-TO-BACK BARCELONA-MISANO FOR THE MOTOE GRAND FINALE
Two rounds, four races, 100 points to win: Matteo Ferrari is now in third position in the championship standings, just 16 points from the top and he wants to win the title. The first run will be in Barcelona, where the Team MotoE FELO Gresini Racing has already ridden his electric Ducati during the pre-season test. The rider number #11 therefore has a lot of data available to analyze in order to start the weekend in the best possible way with the goal of winning both races. In this round a new front tire will be supplied, a wildcard that will may make the difference. Then there will be Misano, Ferrari’s home run: his last chance to win the title of MotoE World Champion.
Alessio Finello has different goal: after a constant growth during the season, he wants to make a change, a complete reset and get on track with a new, more aggressive mentality: he wants the TOP10 and will do everything to conquer it from the next race in Barcelona. The Turin rider wants to make a step forward in these last two rounds and to do so he will have to be competitive from the very first session, with a new attacking strategy.
MATTEO FERRARI #11 (3rd in the standings with 173 points)
“We’re super-excited, we’ve done the pre-season test in Barcelona so we already have a database to work with. My goal is to win all next four races, but I want to go through them one by one. This weekend it will be important to understand the new front tyre, which will only be supplied us in this race, so it will be essential from Friday morning to gather as much information as possible and adapt quickly. We have already archived the weekend in Austria, in these remaining races we have to give 100% and have our head free to focus only on those. Then we’ll go all out in Misano!”
ALESSIO FINELLO #72 (16th in the standings with 28 points)
“I can’t wait to race in Barcelona and Misano: we rode at the Montmeló circuit during the pre-season test, which didn’t go badly. Returning to this track, which I know and like, strengthened by all the things learned and fixed during the season, will give me the opportunity to be more competitive from the beginning. The goal this weekend is to change strategy and approach: we can do more and I’ll play all my cards to prove it in these last two weekends. Misano, my home race and championship grand finale, I also want to tackle it in a different way and end the season in the best possible way”.
