PODIUM IN THE LAST SPRINT AT PHILLIP ISLAND
ALEX MARQUEZ
“The soft tyre we used today definitely helped us, but we started the race without too many certainties, as we had only used it for time attacks. It was definitely a great race, battling for positions with Martin first and then with Acosta. The pace was very good, and over a 13-lap race we performed really well, also in terms of tyre durability. Tomorrow everything could change, both with the weather and with the 27-lap race. Today, though, we can enjoy a fun race.”
IKER LECUONA
“We didn’t get off to the best start, but we still managed not to lose too many positions. Once I found my pace, things changed: halfway through the race, I was practically matching my best qualifying times. Overall, I’m very happy with both the bike and the team. Tomorrow we’ll keep learning and improving.”
