TT ASSEN: THE LAST ROUND BEFORE THE SUMMER BREAK
Race Preview – #DutchGP This weekend the MotoE will open the dance in what is called the “Cathedral” of motorcycling: the TT Assen is in fact the only circuit to have hosted the world championship without interruption since 1949. The riders of the FELO Gresini Racing Team are ready to face the rapid changes in direction of this track, which will host the fourth round of the championship this weekend, with one race scheduled on Saturday and one on Sunday.
We find Matteo Ferrari in third position in the world rankings, just one point from the second rider and 30 from the top. After the double podium in Mugello, the #11 rider will try to repeat the result here too, where he crossed the line in fourth position last year.
It will be the first time for Alessio Finello in this circuit instead, but this does not scare the number #72 rider who, after the good sensations in Mugello, is looking forward to continue his growth in this 2022.
The FELO Gresini Racing MotoE riders will hit the track for the first session on Friday at 08:25 (GMT +2)
MATTEO FERRARI #11 (3rd in the championship standings with 93 points)
“We must continue the work we began in Mugello, and start with the same determination. It will be easier because on this track we already have the 2021 data and therefore a starting point to work on. Friday will be fundamental: maintaining the concentration, working on the race pace and speed. Expectations are high but we are confident because the results have shown that we have grown. We are excited for Assen”.
ALESSIO FINELLO #72 (17th in the championship standings with 7 points)
“These three weeks of break have been endless, I can’t wait to get back on my MotoE. After the double race in Mugello, I am certainly more aware of my abilities, I arrive much more enthusiastic and the fact that I don’t know the track doesn’t scare me. I’m training well, I want to keep improving and growing: the second part of the championship begins in Assen and it is time to see the result of the work done so far”.
